Description
IGGY POP The Idiot (RCA PL 12275) Bowie UK Import 1st Press MINT!
Original UK first pressing of Iggy Pop`s "The Idiot", released on RCA Records in March 1977. Produced by David Bowie in Germany. As such, "The Idiot" has been claimed as heralding the unofficial beginning of Bowie's 'Berlin' period, being compared particularly to "Low" and "Heroes" in its use of electronic effects and treated instrument sounds. The resulting, distinctly claustrophobic atmosphere of the production makes "The Idiot" perhaps Iggy Pop’s finest solo work, as well as a critic`s favourite.
Grading:
MINT- COVER with only the most minimal of general wear. Also includes original RCA company inner sleeve in MINT- condition.
MINT- RECORD, looks unplayed. "1-A Side (Iggy Pop)" and "1-B Side (Iggy Pop)" is hand-carved into the run-out grooves, along with a lyre symbol. This denotes a very first UK pressing!
This record comes from my personal collection and is up for sale due only to the fact that I own two identical copies...
PLEASE NOTE: SHIPPING WILL BE $9 TO EUROPE / $13 TO USA AND REST OF THE WORLD.
