Ignaz Frieman ( 1882 - 1948 ) plays:

12" British Columbia L 2107: Schubert, Alt Wien. Matrices WAX3341, 3342. recorded March 2, 1928. Condition: 2 

12" British Columbia L 2260: Chopin, Berceuse op. 57 / Suk, Menuet op. 57. Matrices WAX 3243, 3340, recorded February 9, 1928 and March 2, 1928. Condition2-3, scuffs / slight sratches

12" British Columbia L 2339: Chopin, Polonaise in B flat major, op. posth.. Matrices WAX 4666, 4667, recorded February 15, 1929. Condition: 2, rim chip not in music.

 Grading:

1 = mint, never played on gramophone, is not used

1-2 = top copy, no traces of use - virtually as new

2 = excellent copy, few light non-sounding rubs/marks

2-3 = light traces of wear (rubs/marks), very light greying and/or light scratches, non sounding blemishes

3 = a good average copy with more noticeable rubs and marks; light greying, few light scratches possible

3-4 = more traces of use, sonic wear from light greying. An inferior average copy, light scratches possible

4 = some sounding wear, heavier rubs and marks, scratches possible

5 = obvious sounding wear, heavy rubs, marks, scratches. An unsatisfactory copy.
