This week I'm auctioning a batch of selected LPs. I have done my best to present and describe the albums accurately. I've spent several years doing a deep research dedicated to classic rock records so all the information collected about a particular album is listed below. I'm not going to call any record "megarareprereleaseearliestpossiblematrixnumberstamperscopy" just because it's the record I'm selling at the moment (like some sellers, sadly, do). Below you'll find just pure facts.

Igra Staklenih Perli is one of the best known progressive rock bands to come from Serbia (which was part of Yugoslavia then). Here's their second album, very hard to find in collectable condition as the first pressing. Note the original artwork which is different from the one used for re-issues. The music is influenced by classic psych/prog acts like Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream, Can, etc.

Record/label

Two versions of original Yugoslavian pressings exist: on blue label and on orange label. I tried to find out which one is earlier but did not succeed as other albums on the RTB label from the same period are as well found with either blue or red labels. I can only suppose that maybe one was for domestic sales and another one for but it's only my suggestion. I'm pretty sure both versions may be considered first pressings. This copy has ORANGE labels.

Cover

Wikipedia tells us that the first artwork version was rejected by the RTB company. Thus artwork of this copy's cover appears to be correct for the first pressing. Original artwork may be seen on re-issues, I believe.

Inner sleeve

100% original, correct polyethylene rounded inner sleeve.

Condition

The semi-glossy cover has some hairline marks on it and a few wrinkles. It looks a little better on the photo than in reality as these hairlines on the cover's surface cannot be detected by my camera. Overall I'd give it a SOLID EXCELLENT PLUS. The spine is perfect. Minimal rubbing of corners and seams.

The record looks TOP. Not a hairline on it. Virtually MINT visually.

Playback: in the beginning of side one there is some low level crackle which lasts for about 30 seconds, check the sound clip. Under a strong light source with a naked eye I could not see anything which can cause this crackle but with the help of a magnifying glass I've found a couple of tiniest hairline marks, maybe about 2 mm each. For the rest of the album playback is HIGH NEAR MINT (occasional, very light surface sound can be detected) and it's definitely the best you can get for this title as the vinyl used in Yugoslavia was not top quality.

Treating records

I always treat vinyl records with the greatest care - just because I love them. All the records I sell have been cleaned professionally with the isopropyl alcohol based solution and placed in brand new deluxe German made poly-lined inner sleeves. Original inners are surely preserved. For further packing I use re-sealable outer sleeves, custom German made LP mailers with cardboard stiffeners and I add extra protection for corners for heavy parcels.
