Here's a fantastic LP from IKE AND TINA TURNER - OUTTA SEASON US STEREO LP 1974. BTS-8805. This LP was originally released on Blue Thumb in 1968, but the mastering on this pressing sounds cleaner, and also the track durations are different. And so, this copy is sought after. This period from 1968-1972 is really prime time Ike and Tina. They were maturing as artists, and refined their sound from the rougher, more raw earlier recordings. Also, although they weren't producing "hits" they were consistently recording and touring, and at this time they were backing The Stones on their tour. Ike was also releasing some great solo LPs during this era. I'm a huge fan of it all. This album packs a great punch of everything great about Ike and Tina. And the cover is a great comment on race, as we all know the turbulence happening in the US in 1968. They couldn't go too far with it, as they were a crossover band, relying on mostly white audiences. This copy is in amazing condition.
COVER VG+ There's a small corner ding top right. The front and back are beautiful and brilliant with vibrant colors, and just a hint of the record pressing against it. The inside gatefold is beautiful. There's 4" of paper crackle bottom back seam in the center. The spine is beautiful, but the top and bottom corners are slightly soft. The top Bach seam has some wear, and also a 2" seam split at the open.
VINYL NEAR MINT It plays pristinely. A gorgeous copy.
OG INNER. A standard ABC/Dunhill inner is in VG+ condition with a bottom center seam split.
