IKE QUEBEC “It Might As Well Be Spring” RVG, P, LAM, Blue Note BLP 4105 Mono Vinyl
This is the first edition, 1962 issue, “VAN GELDER” stamped, “P” pressing of IKE QUEBEC’s “It Might As Well Be Spring” on the "New York USA” labels of Blue Note BLP 4105. Musicians include Double Bass – Milt Hinton, Drums – Al Harewood, Organ – Freddie Roach, Tenor Saxophone – Ike Quebec.
VINYL plays beautifully, with clean signal and full tone. Nearly perfect. A few pops and ticks. Surface is clean with rich luster. LOOKS UNPLAYED. The “New York USA” labels are clean. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in fantastic shape. Corners worn. Spine and seams are excellent. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC, 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket features the delirious work of an obsessive writer, with his mad scribbles (“Good stuff! Yeah, but still hers is the best.”) everywhere. Perfect disc, lovely cover, maniacal back jacket. Please see photos.
