IKE AND TINA TURNER'S LP, LIVE, THE IKE & TINA TURNER SHOW released in 1965 on the WARNER GREEN LABEL. CAT # WS1579. This is a US FIRST STEREO PRESSING It's one of only a handful of live rock LPs produced in the 60's. The live album wasn't a thing then, but the artists who did release them were usually the one's who happened to be an amazing live act. Think James Brown, and The Who. Even The Stones only released one live LP in the 60s in Hot Live if you want it. Ike and Tina were perhaps a better live band than recording artists. Their LP's on the Sue record label pre 1965 were recorded very raw, with Ike taking control of the mixing board.. It was something he didn't do well, but his ego and desire for control, as well as budget all played a part in this early recordings. Live they were a great band, and played to crossover crowds. This Live LP would be a natural thing for them to record. And, they totally rock. This copy is a great one. The early Ike and Tina LPs were played, and played hard. This cover is VG++. Really great with sharp corners, and great colorful cover. The back cover is also in beautiful shape. There is a top corner cut out. The original inner is in VG+ condition. There's a 3 in the bottom right corner of the back cover. The Vinylis in VG++ condition, and plays perfectly. A great copy-- difficult to find in such condition.
