SUE 2003 (US mono LP)

A well-loved but well-pressed (and still solid-sounding) slab of red-hot R&B! Killer high-energy, tight funky instrumentals, featuring Ike Turner's stinging electric blues guitar! Tina is here in name only, but she makes an impressive presence on the album cover! (We have other original Sue Ike & Tina Turner LPs coming up on eBay, so more Tina therein).

JACKET: Like hard country LPs, R&B discs were bought by non-audiophiles-- i.e., people who just wanted to slap the album on the turntable, dance and enjoy! Thus, mint copies of such discs are few and far between! This much-loved copy has a surprisingly decent cover. Biggest flaw: a chewed-off lower right corner. Surprisingly clean front panel has no ringwear--shocking for any black-colored LP cover of this era. (It looks like it does in the photo, but that's just light reflections off the gloss on the cover.)

Spine intact and sharp. Top seam scuffed at outer edge but intact.

Back panel has visible rubwear. Otherwise, it’s complete and clean. Overall, this sleeve is a decent VG.

VINYL: Surprisingly solid mono disc. Great pressing has superb hard-edged presence, as you've just heard. Light superficial scuffs and dings to generally decent, pleasing surface. A good cleaning will do this disc a world of help. As is, it's a boppin' VG+.
