Red Label Stereo Original 1st pressing 1972 D LABEL / LABELCODE MATRIX NUMBERS EXTRAS GRADING Polydor 2480127 2480127 S1 & S2 Laminated Single Cover M-/M- DESCRIPTION Formed in Naples in late 60s, with the initial name of Battitori Selvaggi. After their first record, ow considered as one of the rarest of the italian prog era, in 1971 Gianni Leone (from the very first Città Frontale) enters the group along with bassist Manzari (from the Rome band Quelle Strane Cose Che) and a new Balletto is born. Much more in a symphonic vein and dominated by his keyboards. This second album released in 1972 on Polydor, Ys (from the name of a legendary town in Brittany), is a masterpiece, giving the group the success they deserved. Inexplicably an english-sung version, ready to release, was never issued. CONDITIONS RECORD: Visually both sides are deep shiney black and have all of its original gloss, seen in critical 100W light! Both sides are in NEAR MINT (M-) condition with no marks. Almost no clicks, pops or crackles. No scratches. Pure and clean sound quality!! Only a few plays!!!! LABELS: Both labels in NEAR MINT (M-) condition with no spindle marks. COVER: Laminated gatefold cover in pristine conditon!!! Rare in this condition! No tape. No splits. No writings, no stamps, no stickers. No edge and spine wear! No ring wear! This wonderful cover must be grade as NEAR MINT (M-)! SUMMARY One of the best in the italian prog field!! A must for any prog collector!!
