IIl Gruppo was a composer’s collective based in Italy during the 1960’s. They were an early improvisational group exploring new soundscapes and experimental music. Among the players on trumpet was ENNIO MORRICONE, the famed composer for films such as Fistful of Dollars and The Good, Bad and Ugly.

When this RARE recording is heard with an open mind /ear expanded awareness reminiscent of the 1960’s, it is captivating.

 

 

The vinyl shines on both sides and has only few faint surface marks. It plays very clearly with only occasional crackle heard during quiet sections.

 

The front cover shows some ring wear and the back cover is clean.
