DESCRIPTION

Ilene Woods - “It’s Late” Jubilee Records JLP-1-46 (Mono) from 1957. Great and super Hard To Find Original First Pressing Female Jazz Vocal Album from Ilene Woods - the Voice of Cinderella in the Disney Animated Film - backed by a band Arranged and Conducted by Bill Clifton. Flat Rim First Pressing on the Deep Groove Blue with Silver Print Jubilee label! One note, while the album is in the Original Cover, the Cover is labelled as JGM 1046 which would be a 1959 repress. The actual is labelled JLP-1046 and is on the correct First Press Blue Label rather than the Black label that would have been used for the repress. My guess is that, like many smaller labels, they just used up what they had on hand - an older LP in a newer cover. A Rare find in any case. No Cutouts, Promo markings or Barcode.

CONDITION

The Sleeve is in nice shape. There is some fairly slight basic shelf wear and some corner softening / wear.. Still super solid with no splits, writing, tears, cutouts, stains, etc. and I would rate it VG+ overall. The Vinyl itself is in clean Glossy condition. If you look closely you can spot some light scuffs and hairlines. Plays well with some light groove noise and a couple soft tics, nothing that really detracts. Not an audiophile's dream but a good listen and I would rate it VG and it may well be improved with a better cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush. The labels show a few light spindle trails but are Near otherwise Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less!
