Description
"I'll Go by The Original 5 Blind Boys of Mississippi" is a first edition, first pressing vinyl record released in 1961 by Checker Records. The record features black vinyl with a maroon label and silver print, housed in a cardboard sleeve. This gospel LP includes the original inner sleeve and cover, making it a valuable addition to any music collection for fans of classic gospel music. The record is in very good plus (VG+) condition, making it a desirable piece for vinyl enthusiasts and collectors. The vinyl record looks near mint minus. I played it through overall. It sounds very good with the exception of track one on side two the first 15 seconds of the track has a couple noise issues briefly but plays through . The LP cover has tape on the upper right and lower right seems with a few white marks on the front cover from where and that’s why I only gave it a VG these original records are very scarce they were produced in small quantities back in 1961 generally the chess Brothers produced 3 to 5000 possibly up to 20,000 if they sold well they did not have good records for complete runs back in those days so you won’t see many listed over the years how many still exist is asanybody’s guess and finding one in this condition is very difficult
