Description
Imperial 5289 from 1954 - Papa Lightfoot - Wine, Women, Whiskey / Mean Old Train - visually the record is a bit dull looking and shows wear and has been playgraded V using an Ortofon 78 stylus. Labels are in reasonable condition and the light/dark patches are just shadows.This is an early vinyl pressing so while it is still fragile it is lighter than a shellac record and plays a bit better than it looks. This is an extremely rare record and better grades go for a lot of money so while this is only a V it is still a decent copy until when or more likely if a better copy comes along. Also the overamplified harmonica and growling vocals of Papa Lightfoot means the sound is not as badly affected by the condition as another recording might be.
PLEASE NOTE regardless of ebay's suggestion that fragile and valuable records are sent without any proper packing by 5th class surface mail records will be properly packed to ensure safe arrival, postage within the UK by Special Delivery is $11 and to the US by Airsure is $25, multiple wins will be combined.
