The INCREDIBLE STRING BAND – “EARTHSPAN”…LP…(Island/Festival, IL-34,776)…original 1973 Aussie FIRST pressing, with very nice matte cover, and on pink-rimmed Island palm-tree labels…rare PROMO COPY (original round red & white promo sticker on Side 1 label)…but, what really defines this as most likely unique, is that the record is completely MINT…as fresh and shiny and clean and UTTERLY pristine as the day it was pressed…and the cover is virtually as good (M[-]…because, with a magnifying glass, you could just detect the very beginnings of ringwear – but if you get my drift – it’s a mere whisker from being pristine…let’s say, if graded out of 100, the cover would get a 99.5…yep, THAT good). There probably does NOT exist an original Aussie copy that has survived 45+ years, in better condition…the spine is perfectly squared off, and pristine, and all text on it is perfectly legible…has NO spindle marks on labels and has remained unplayed…an album you’ll never have to upgrade…

Includes lyrics insert (insert is mint).

It's part of a HUGE collection of an ex-Aussie radio station big-wig (nice guy) who was given TWO promotional copies of every release (LP, 7”, 12”), by every Australian major label between 1956 and 1991 (the mind boggles - but it's true), and he stashed one away, never to be played, protected individually in non-vinyl-affecting plastic covers. 

So, this is indeed, an original 1973 FIRST pressing. The vinyl is simply unbeatable - unplayed, and the labels are pristine. 

Even its plastic inner sleeve looks untouched.

Basically, it's the kind of copy you dream of finding.
