Description

This record deserves some explanation and RESPECT! This guy may have been the ultimate in sincere, determined singers who due to no fault of their's, had little real commercial talent to show. Herman Stone, in his own way, OUT HASILS HASIL ADKINS!!!!!

His band, the Rovers, is underrecorded and Herman's glorious voice and the equally out of tune and no less glorious lead guitar shine through. Herman's voice is hillbilly twang and much of his lyrics are incomprehensible!! The aforementioned lead guitar (possibly Herman's own) is out of tune and out of time!! The fidelity of the 45, though VG++ to M-, is low. "DEAR LITTLE SWEETHEART" is a mid tempo masterpiece of determined ineptitude. The flip, "NAUGHTY ANGEL" is equally bad/brilliant. It's a slower but no less creepy performance.

Hasil would have been proud. Only 200 copies reputed to have been pressed; most destroyed. Same label as the legendary Harold Montgomery!

Call 903 874 8692 to hear. You'll be horrified or amazed!

I have 2 more 45s by this East Texas genius- they're just as cool!

see my other garage and rockabilly 45s!
