Description
The first Warner Brother's single, hence Cat. No. WB1, B side is 'Always It's You '. A fantastic 78 , Cathy's Clown, written by the brothers,was inspired by a girlfriend of Don Everly who dumped him! Recorded in Nashville, it was number 1 for 7 weeks in 1960 in the U.K. charts . It was the first single to be top of both the UK and US charts at the same time. In my opinion a perfect composition enhanced by their amazing harmony. The record is in lovely , shiny Excellent Plus condition. The bright pink W.B. label does not photograph well!
All 78s are graded according to Record Collector guidelines and are dispatched in purpose made polystyrene boxes that have proved 100% reliable up to now . However, nothing is infallible so if any problem occurs, please contact me directly and the difficulty will be resolved quickly and amicably.
All 78s have been test played on a Pye Black Box.
