Truly sensational live LP concert recording of the original Patti Smith Group, "LIVE AT THE BOTTOM LINE," recorded live in 1975 at the very onset of Patti Smith's rise to cult fame status. This band was at its very best in clubs, and this record is proof of their all-time best at one of the most authentic forums of punk and new wave live bands--the impeccably legendary Bottom Line in New York City! Stunningly beautiful laminated cover photography of a very young Patti Smith that commands framing! Patti Smith was (and still is) the punk princess of all she surveyed. Her original band lineup that was legendary: renown rock historian Lenny Kaye on lead guitar; Ivan Kral on bass; Richard Sohl on piano, and the Keith Moon-like Jay Dee Daugherty on drums. Knockout concert features songs: "Horses"/"Gloria," "Mafia," "Birdland," "Spunky," "Free Money,' "Blue Eyes"/"Louie Louie," "Set Me Free," "Redondo Beach," a sledgehammer cover of Pete Townshend/The Who's "My Generation,"and a steamy cover version of Lou Reed/The Velvet Underground's "We're Gonna Have A Real Good Time Together," and the Rolling Stones' "Time Is On My Side." Produced in the same tradition and with as much care and attention as the legendary Trade Mark Of Quality (TMOQ).
