Description
RCA Neon dynaflex, U.S., 1971, gatefold with generic black inner.
VG-, VG
Cover has moderate to heavy ring wear, some wear on edges, scotch taped top corner, beginning of a seam split bottom corner at opening. Generic blank black inner sleeve has some tears. Lp in relatively good shape, barring two 1" hairlines on side 1, a few lighter hairlines and small, light marks on side 2. Plays well, generally clean; has some noticeable but minor surface noise in the quieter passages.
Absolutely classic U.K. progressive with a moody. action packed multi-keys/ Hammond - bass - guitar - drums assault, with inventive song writing and a magical, shimmering texture to the sound. The eye popping cover, by the fabled album artist Keef, is a rather worn ( if not blasted0, but still serves its purpose ( it isn't falling apart) and retains most of the art work. This was the band that Vertigo turned down for a record deal in 1970 in favor of BLACK SABBATH, as the label could only sign one of the two bands at that moment in time. The group signed with the less publicized Neon imprint of RCA, never getting anywhere near the attention they deserved. This is pretty essential for any collection of British progressive music of the 70s.
