In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. NOT A REISSUE - BUT A 41 YEAR OLD ORIGINAL! Super rare killer early UK 1971 progressive / psych album originally released on Pye in the UK. As rare as the British press is (read below why), the USA issue is insanely rare and never made it to commercial marketing (i.e. retail record stores - read onward and see why) - thought not to exist!! The THICK gatefold cover & thick platter is superior to the thin fragile UK cover & Lp. All members of Icarus were huge fans of Marvel Comics, hence the basic concept of this LP. As you can see from the track list, each title is based on a marvel character. Sadly at the time, the head of Marvel Comix found out about the Lp shortly before its release and demanded a 50% share of the royalties. Instead of giving in, the record company simply withdrew the LP, instantly becoming a forever rarity...and only getting rarer by the day. The USA pressing is widely thought of as never existing...but, here one is!Each of the players on this fast-rocking album with strong progressive edges presents themselves as comic character, ranging from "Spiderman" via "Conan the Barbarian" to the "Hulk." The lyrics likewise deal with the character heroes change of circumstances or fortune, lending the album a comparatively agreeable degree of fun. As the instrumental and vocal abilities of the band are excellent, with more than several highlights being present. These include the scary intro to "Hulk," the propelling rhythms of "Conan The Barbarian", and following onward, while the music continues the heavy prog-rock direction, singer Steve Hart sounds like a growling Captain Beefheart on the driving, compelling beat of "Fantastic Four. Elsewhere, tracks such as "Black Panther", "Thor" and "Hulk" are also excellent, as is the slightly psychedelic "Silver Surfer." All in all, a fun to listen to an insanely rare Lp...
