This is the legendary box-set of the complete, original catalog from the International Artists label officially reissued in 1979 in a limited edition of 1000 copies. The box design is unique to this release – a simple white box with the titles of the albums on the front in black which contains the entire twelve title catalog. A booklet was not part of the design; it included only the albums in their original album cover art. I have had it in storage since buying it in 1979. Only two of the albums have been played and only one side each at that. All the albums (except one) have the original shrink wrap, but to prevent possible warpage I slit open each one. The pressings are Mint+.

The box itself is in good condition, but the materials used in manufacturing were susceptible to moisture and there is some discoloration. None of the album covers or the discs themselves have been compromised, however.

One of the most influential independent record companies of its day, International Artists has gained cult status over the years, particularly amongst fans of prime American psychedelic and garage rock. Based in Houston, Texas the label thrived under the expert guidance of its driving force, Lelan Rogers, brother of country legend Kenny Rogers.

The label announced its arrival to the rock world in 1966 when its most significant signing, The13th Floor Elevators, made the national charts with their truly ground-breaking single You're Gonna Miss Me. Over the course of the next four years it was followed by a whole host of glorious singles and album releases from some of Texas' finest musicians.

During its four years of activity in the late Sixties, International Artists released twelve albums, four of which were by its flagship act, The 13th Floor Elevators. The other eight were equally challenging and significant in their own way; more psychedelic classics from The Red Crayola, The Bubble Puppy, Golden Dawn and Endle St. Cloud, as well as a couple of left-field albums of Texas rocking blues from local legend Lightnin' Hopkins and Dave Allen, who represented the new generation of white bluesmen.
