Description
INTERNATIONAL SUBMARINE BAND Safe at Home early GRAM PARSONS vinyl LHI Records Begun in 1965 by Harvard theology student Gram Parsons, the group moved to LA and morphed into an act discovered by fledgling producer, Suzi Jane Hokom. in 1967 Ms Hokum convinced her then boyfriend, Lee Hazelwood, to release the group's album on his LHI records.
Gram left the band in Feb 1968 to join The Byrds for their seminal LP Sweetheart of the Rodeo.
Hazelwood's interest in a band without its lead singer waned a bit. He finally released the LP in late spring 1968.
This highly sought classic has become a legendary early monument to Gram Parsons short yet illustrious carrer.
