Description
"BILLIKIN" JOHNSON and FRED ADAMS team up for some great, lazy, Texas blues. Tuba player OCTAVE GASPARD joins them on "INTERURBAN BLUES" and "SUNBEAM BLUES."
In my insatiable curiosity, I checked for the meaning of "Billikin" in three on-line dictionaries, and came up with NOTHING! There is one for "Billiken" - "A squat, smiling comic figure, often used as a mascot." Maybe it's a fitting description of Mr. Johnson, but don't hold me to that.
This original 1927 "Race" Columbia 14293-D is in E- condition. Slight distortion, negligible scratches, no chips or cracks.
