Here is a GENUINE original Mono July 1964 INTRODUCING THE BEATLES Vee Jay records, VJLP 1092 / VJLP 1062.  This version has the VERY RARE Silver on Black OVAL label with the unique ¾ gatefold cover SONGS PICTURES AND STORIES OF THE FABULOUS BEATLES and it’s the real deal!

Bruce Spitzer/Perry Cox - VJ 1062 (2) MR5.  This translates to the VJLP 1062 Variation 2, MONO Cover, Version 5.   The Variation 1 - the original LOVE ME DO and PS I LOVE YOU and were immediately corrected to ASK ME WHY and PLEASE, PLEASE ME in Variation 2.   Check out this version with pictures at rarebeatles.com.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

-       RARE VJ OVAL LABEL with Silver on Black Writing 

-       Comes with unique 3/4 gatefold cover. Contains Vee Jay's "Introducing The Beatles", which is the US release of "Please Please Me".

-       Spine: VJ 1092 (peeled off)
Front Cover: VJ 1092

-       Labels have “Side 1” and “Side 2” in upper and lower case letters.  

-       INTRODUCING THE BEATLES and THE BEATLES are above the spindle hole

-       Does not have Long Playing and Microgroove on the label

-       'I Saw Her Standing There' starts with Paul's saying "Four!"

CONDITION

Record:  VERY GOOD+++ Condition.  Some might rate this EXCELLENT!  This record plays extremely well with no skips or distortion.  There are some visual and superficial scratches with a little crackle between tracks and in soft parts. Record shines and appears not to have been overly played.  Amazing playing condition for a record from this era.

Cover/Labels:  VERY GOOD+ for the COVER and EXCELLENT for the LABELS.  The cover has some wear on the front/back; some wear on the top and bottom seams but otherwise perfectly intact.  The corners are worn and the Spine is fragile as the black is starting to peel off. The LP1092 is peeled off of the spine, but the spine is very much intact.  No tape, no writing, no price stickers, no seam splits. The Labels and Spindle holes are pristine and show little wear.

All Vinyl is stored in Collector Protector Archival Quality Record Sleeves with the Original Cover and inserts stored in Plastic Sleevesto preserve the integrity of the recording/cover.
