IREN MARIK: A Piano Concert Performed By Iren Marik / Piano Music, Concert Program No. 4 - Draco Records (DR 1336 / LRS-ST-6054) stereo

Very rare private press LP release consisting of solo piano renditions of works by Ravel, Debussy & Poulenc from Iren Marik, recorded live in her studio in Independence, California.  Includes: Les Soirees de Nazalles, a suite for the piano by Francis Poulenc, Images 2nd Book by Claude Debussy, and La Valee des Cloches & Ondine by Maurice Ravel.

For a detailed overview of Iren Marik and her work, please see the Arbiter Records website, who have released several excellent CDs of her work in reccent years:

http://www.arbiterrecords.com/notes/143notes.html

According to this information, the LPs of her music which were released on the Draco label were mostly pressings of 200 copies.  Here’s a rare opportunity to acquire a very nice copy of one of these rare titles, in excellent playing condition.

Check the soundclip below for a sample of the actual record on offer.  Thanks for looking, and please be sure to check out my other auctions this week for several more rare Iren Marik LPs on Draco, along with a selection of other interesting and scarce classical LPs

CONDITION:

VINYL CONDITION: VG to VG+: one larger surface scrape and several light surface scuffs with little to no effect on play, and nice sheen (listen to sound clips for a sample).  The one larger surface scrape looks worse than it is -- I did not notice any effect on play from it.

COVER CONDITION: VG+:  very light scuffing and a few small stains, otherwise in excellent condition with no seam splits or other damage.

Thanks for checking out our listings.  If you like this one, chances are you’ll want to look at the other records we have to offer, as we're always posting obscure and unusual LPs of many different genres from the 60’s and 70’s in the Spiral Groove section of our store.  And on top of that, we offer an excellent selection of interesting and obscure 80's and 90's indie vinyl and CDs, and a way cool inventory of hand-letterpress printed ephemera (stamps, postcards, etc.) printed by Independent Project Press.  We’ve been selling records on ebay since 1999, with an extremely positive feedback rating, so buy with confidence.  Keep checking back, as we’ll be listing more obscure and intriguing music on a periodic basis, and you never know what will surface.
