This is A RARE and almost IMPOSSIBLE to FIND TESTPRESSING(* = see below) 

 for

 Iron Maiden's - Twilight Zone/ Wrathchild (1981)  BRITISH 

BLACK VINYL Single.

The Vinyl is in excellent- condition, the labels mint+;

comes in orig. blank black Sleeve (Sleeve is mint)

 + protective PVC bag.

(*) WHAT is a TESTPRESSING RECORD?

To understand this, we have to go back, back in time of a record producing process.

1st the Band does the recording work in the studio. then the separate recordings (instruments, vocals) are mixed together. 

the record pressing plant CUTS a the music with a special machine into a plain record (this is called: ACETATE).

after this they produce a negative of it (so called: MOTHER ). 

with that negative the record plant presses a FEW - VERY, VERY FEW TESTPRESSINGS to see whether the MOTHER is okay and has no mistakes etc. finally they press the normal "COMMERCIAL" copies from the proved negatives.

This ONESIDED Edition has music on the A-Side, a "reference tone" on the other.

You see, the TESTPRESSINGS are very necessary, the very initial pressings from a negative pressing plate - and RARE RARE RARE!     

 

Testpressings DO NOT have a PICTURE SLEEVE nor a Company Sleeve. If i supply your copy with a picture sleeve it's either taken from another commercial copy or it's a colour copy of a Pic Sleeve!
