Description
I do my best to grade all our records as accurately as I can... please refer to the pictures or send me an Ebay message for more details.
Here we have a copy of Iron Maiden’s fantastic 1992 album Fear of the Dark. This is the very first UK press on EMI, catalogue number EMD 1032. This copy is one of the double LP editions, printed on two records for higher quality sound. These are extremely rare and can sell for a LOT of money, at times £100+!
GRAB A BARGAIN!!!!
Sleeve Condition - GOOD+ - The gatefold cover is in nice condition. Shows a little evidence of shelf wear, a few light creases on the edges and general wear and tear, nothing really that bad but a GOOD+ grading is fair.
Record Condition – GOOD- - The reason I call it as GOOD- is, visually both discs show quite a few hair lines as well as scuffs & marks, and if I were to grade on visuals alone these are in rough condition and would probably be a FAIR-/POOR. To be perfectly honest, before I played them I didn’t expect them to sound as good as they do! They play well and sound good, but with a light crackle in places (mainly in quieter parts of songs and between tracks, one or two tracks might have a louder crackle but generally it’s background). Any of the scuffs that look like they will affect play actually don’t really, but they produce a background crackle that, as I said above, is more evident in quiet parts. I’ve noticed only two or three hops between the two records. Ironically one is on a part of the disc that doesn’t show scuffs, so with a good clean it might be cured. The other two seem to be on a part of the album with a scuff or mark. A good clean will probably further improve the audio of this album but I am cautious in regards to grading with all the visual scuffs present. Please be aware these are not in perfect condition, they sound good apart from what I explained above, hence why I am starting the auction low…
