IRON MAIDEN SANCTUARY c/w DRIFTER/I'VE GOT THE FIRE Original UK 7" 1980 UNCENSORED
This is an original pressing of Iron Maiden’s second single. A follow up to Running Free, this song oddly didn’t appear on the UK release of their debut album.
This single features the first and uncensored printing of the sleeve, with the full face of the “victim” visible. Later version had the face censored due to the sensitive context.
The record is in near min condition, with no discernible marks or scratches that I can see, and the number matrix is EMI 5065 A-1/B-2 inscribed.
The sleeve is is also fantastic, free from rips and tears, with the expected wear to the open top edge.
All in all a fantastic copy of a very rare release.
