Description
iron maiden - the soundhouse tapes.
o.k. before we start,this is 100% an authentic original soundhouse 7",one of the orig 5000 pressed,and yes,it would have been personally handled by a member of the band in the early days.
The matrix/run out groove markings are as follows........
Side a is *EG+ SA LYN 7627 - IT ROK - 1-A
Side b is *EG+ SA ROK -1-B LYN 7628 - IT
Please note,As a starting point got the run off grooves,I have started from the *EG+ code.The LYN code (Lyntone records) is very faint,and,as you know side a has the Rok 1 after the Lyn code,and side b has it before.There is the long gap on side b's run off code beteween the SA and Rok-1-b.So there you know its the real deal!!
The e.p. as you know contains three demo tracks recorded at Spaceward studios in Dec 78.IronMiaden,Invasion,and prowler.
The sleeve is the top opening (see pics) orangey card sleeve,with the inside having yelowed slightly with age,again provenancing the item.
The record has the plain rim surrounding the record label,of with smoothly recesses towards the label,this is poignant info,
Condition.
The sleeve top right corner has the name Rob Elsey written on in blue biro,obvs fro years ago - no one knew then this was to be such a collectable.
The bottom of the sleeve from wear has a tear about 1".
The vinyl has been played and I would grade this (not an expert) as very good to near ex in cond.There are is a small surface mark on side 2,but has no significant surface marks,and plays perfectly,just shows signs of age,but this is good.The 7" is housed in a paper sleeve to protect the orig cover.
Ticket........
An old gig ticket from when Maiden played the Victoria hall in hanley,friday 29th feb 1980 is inlcuded.support fro praying mantis and neal kay.the ticket actually folds out,so its double the size than the pic shows.the stub is numbered 1116.Very very cool and very rare.
I have also inlcluded a re print of the orig merchandise slip that came with the 7".this is just a xerox of the orig insetr.
So you have,a mega rare and highly collectable AUTHENTIC soundhouse tapes 7",an old gig stub,plus a repro of a merch insert.
This is the real deal,can your IRON MAIDEN collection afford to be without it?
Not A1 mint,but real,and very very rare.
Low opening pice to kick it off,but I know this piece of metal history is going to shoot up in price.I AM OPEN TO SERIOUS OFFERS.
