Format: On offer here , from my own collection , is the historic debut IRON MAIDEN 3-track single / EP "THE SOUNDHOUSE TAPES"released in 1979 by the legendary British heavy metal band on their own self-financed Rock Hard Records label.This truly incredible IRON MAIDEN debut EP contains three mindblowing heavy metal anthems and is a seminal , highly sought after record from the early NWOBHM scene.

The record on offer here,although it has been in my collection for over 20 years, is a later(second ?)pressing,it is not the original first edition.

Self financed, Iron Maidens' legendary debut ep 'The Soundhouse Tapes' was recorded at Spaceward Studios in Cambridge , England and produced by the band themselves. Influenced by Led Zeppelin,Black Sabbath,Deep Purple,Judas Priest and so called first generation 'heavy rock' groups ,at the tail end of the 1970's Iron Maiden were swimming against the Punk Rock tide to satisfy the legions of rock fans who didn't subscribe to the claim that Heavy Metal was dead !

When other bands called it a day , Iron Maiden , with their youthfull arrogance decided to take a leaf out of the 'New Wave' book and release their own record'The Soundhouse Tapes'. 

All three tracks are CLASSIC high energy guitar driven HEAVY METAL anthems - AWESOME STUFF !   

Packing Procedures: The record will be professionally packed to avoid any unnecessary damage during transit. I aim to dispatch the same day as payment is received.
