Out of all the groups that recorded for Motown, I feel that the one that unfairly is getting the least attention and superlatives is the Isley Brothers. They only recorded for the label for three years (1966-1969), but everything they recorded for the label is top notch. EVERY track on every LP and 45 are fantastic recordings with first rate vocals and productions. This 45 is no exception. "Why When Love Is Gone" is in my opinion one of the TOP 10 best ever Motown recordings. It's a thundering northern soul dancer that is getting lots of spins at the moment. Have a listen below! The flipside is great as well. Essential and in amazing condition!
