Artist: "Russkij Narodnyj Orkestr" (I Diavoli Rossi Orch / Nullo Romani)
Tracks: Podsolnetchnaya Polka ("Il Ponte dei Sospiri") / Polnotch ("La Mezzanotte")
Classic example of cross-branding. Columbia took these two instrumentals from 1928 by two bands, renamed them, renamed the groups, and issued them in a Russian series!
The A-side is by the I Diavoli Rossi Orch, and was a polka. The flip is one of my favorite Nullo Romani sides, with nice Hawaiian guitar break. A wonderful waltz! Begins with church bells. Excellent recording, really.
Condition: VV+ (grain, marks, wear - still plays loudly)
