Description
Welcome to the next batch in my ongoing clearout of my collection amassed over 40+ years. Some more nice rarities amongst this lot. Free signed for shipping for UK bidders is included.
Next up is a Parlophone records release. Release year is 1965, cat no R5342. Ivans Meads - A Little Sympathy b/w The Sins Of A Family.
Rare UK 1st pressing of this fantastic stomper, the B side is an amazing morality tale that could have been written yesterday with some lovely Hammond organ, and there is some debate as to which track was meant to be the A side as the matrix codes show Sins with the lower number, but I belive the lyrics were thought to be unlikely to receive airplay so it was promoted with A Little Sympathy as the main track. This was the only release from this band that featured Alan Powell who went on to drum for Vinegar Joe, Chicken Shack, Hawkwind and Tanz Der Youth amongst others and Rod Mayall, brother of John Mayall on keys.
Vinyl is in VG condition, some marks as shown in the pictures, plays very nicely with no skips or jumps but there are a few light clicks and crackle here and there and on run in/run out. Labels are clean with no stickers or writing, 4 prong center is intact.
Company sleeve is in VG+ condition, some age wear and sticker from the original purchase shop.
