A LITTLE SYMPATHY
With this listing i have provided a decent length MP3 sample of the brilliant A-side, this sample is taken from the actual 45 for sale. Please just 'press the yellow link' above' to either 'save' to your hard-drive or 'open' to play with your default PC media player.
This is a musically superb mega-rare original 1965 UK Manchesterbeat MOD 45 by the excellent and very obscure band The Ivans Meads, this MOD 45 very seldom surfaces for sale and many just do not know of this band or just how good this record is. The band released just 2 singles in the UK and this excellent debut is by far their rarest.
The vinyl grades as good condition only but plays and sounds ok, there are many very tiny light surface hairlines and a few scratches and scuffing but these do little to effect play, the superb track 'Sins Of The Family' actually plays and sounds better with some louder crackles at the beginning and end and just minor crackle and some mild distortion while the track is playing through (please check out the MP3 sample). The excellent faster paced B-side plays about the same but with a few sporadic background tics but again sounds perfectly ok with no nasty loud clicks or attempts to jump.
Both labels are great with a few small marks and what looks like some previous owners very faded initials on the B-side. The parlophone company sleeve is the wrong one for a 1965 issue but it is in near excellent condition with some mild creasing but no splits/writing or defects.
This is just a musically excellent mega rare UK Manchesterbeat MOD 45 that is very near impossible to find in any condition, this obscure 45 sold only a few copies and then sank without a trace, just try and find another copy.
If you collect rare Mod, Psych and Freakbeat 45's and the stranger and more obscure beat and Pop-Sike releases from the mid to late 1960's then this impossibly rare Ivans Meads single would make a really excellent addition to any collection.
