Description

Ian Anderson "Book of Changes" LP -- Fontana STL 5542. Very, very rare second album LP by Anderson, who went on to found Village Thing Records -- one of the greatest labels of the 70's -- as well as edit fROOTS magazine. This is the dawn of his acid folk sound, & it's a classic in the genre. Nevertheless, there's scarcely a chance of this ever being reissued, as Anderson goes far out of his way to make sure this record doesn't get heard -- reputedly, he even bought back copies upon its release to keep it out of the bins! He's joined here by future Village Thing stalwarts Al Jones and John Turner, as well as Keith Christmas. RECORD: NM (spindle marks on label only; looks & sounds beautiful),  COVER: EX (.25" seam-split in lower-right & tiny smudge on spine; otherwise in great shape, w/ no tears, creases or writing). PLEASE CHECK MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE PSYCH, PROG, BLUES, FOLK, JAZZ & AVANT GARDE! Grading: I use the following grades conservatively: NM, EX, VG+, VG, G, F. (I will seldom list anything that is below VG+.) Unless sealed, LP'S are always shipped with the record removed from the cover to prevent seam-splits.
