COVER: VG+ ~Gatefold sleeve is generally very clean with very light wear. Two small spots at upper front -may come off, but did not want to attempt it myself. Also small notations in pen at track listings (very minor -see photo #6) Light shelf wear to seams; no splits.

VINYL: VG++ Glossy vinyl has few tiny marks on side B. A very few quiet tics there in an otherwise beautifully clear; distortion-free background. Side A plays NM. Snapping white Swirl VERTIGO labels are immaculate.

The * in these stamper numbers is actually a "heart".
Both sides also have 1 1 3 inscribed further around in the dead wax.

Very hard to find early Ian Carr LP and one of his best.

On the cutting edge of the British jazz scene for nearly four decades, self-trained Ian Carr played an important role in the development of jazz-rock fusion, playing with John McLaughlin in the early '60s, forming one of England's first electronic jazz-rock fusion groups, Nucleus, in 1969 and playing with the international band the United Jazz Rock Ensemble, since 1975.

Carr has been equally influential as a music journalist and educator. The co-author of a jazz encyclopedia, The Essential Companion, Carr was also the author of Music Outside, an examination of contemporary British jazz published in 1973; Miles Davis: The Definitive Biography, published in 1982; and Keith Jarrett: The Man and His Music, published in 1991. Since 1992, Carr has written a monthly column for BBC Music Magazine and is an associate professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Dance and lectures weekly on jazz history.

My apologies for the differing color tones there; I had to go back and reshoot at night and again in the early a.m. on some fuzzy shots and have some particularly varying lightings here. Hopefully, you know the album well enough to get past that. If it helps: Photos 2, 3, 4 and 6 (outside gatefold, labels and track listing) are basically the correct tones; Photo 1 has color and brightess loss, photo 6 is just too contrasty, by far (refer to #6); and Photo 7, the last one I shot (w/ the SWIRL INNER SLEEVE is color tinted into a brown... Please know that the whites TRULY ARE BRIGHT WHITE -as they should be, on labels and sleeve.

This LP is kept in a protective, clear poly outer-sleeve, as you shall receive it.
