Description
Icehouse – Man of Colours – 1987 – Forget for a moment that this album is in glorious blue vinyl. And forget that the cover is autographed by Iva Davies. Let’s talk about the record. Man of Colours remains Icehouse’s best-selling album, with sales of around a million copies. A wall of synthesizers surrounds Iva Davies’ brooding, enigmatic vocals on songs that range from bouncing synth pop to reflective indie rock. The highlight is Electric Blue, although there were something like seven hit singles on the album including Crazy, My Obsession and Nothing Too Serious. Did I mention that this LP is an original limited edition 1987 blue vinyl (not a recent re-issue)? Oh, and it’s autographed by Iva Davies.
