Description
Ultra-Rare 10" LP of Ike Quebec - Mellow the Mood (Blue Note 5001 - 10" MONO) This is the original Lexington address blue and white label edition with Deep Groove on both sides and ear in the dead wax (no RVG - this was before Blue Note signed on with Van Gelder). Incredibly rare early Blue Note session with Ike Quebec on tenor sax along with Ben Webster, Charlie Christian, Oscar Pettiford, Tiny Grimes, Milt Hinton and others. Amazing tracks from the dawn of modern jazz.
The LP is a solid VG (almost VG+) with some marks and scratches, but nothing deep or serious. There is a bit of a smudge on the side one label, but otherwise, all has held up well over the last fifty+ years. The cover rates an extremely strong VG+, having just a bit of general shelf/age wear (see the photo). NO splits, NO writing, NO tape, NO stamps or stickers. A fantastic copy of a real rare bit of Blue Note history. You'd be hard pressed to find a better copy (if you can find another one at all)
You know what it is, you know how rare it is, what's holding you back?
The LP will be carefully packed using professional materials (twenty years experience safely selling LPs around the world). Mailing costs would be $4.00 for media rate mail to a U.S. address. Overseas winner will be quoted the appropriate mailing rate at the close of the auction. I accept checks, money orders, Bidpay checks or cash (sent at sender's risk). Serious bidders only please - Payment must be received in ten days from notification. Thanks for your interest and good luck.
