Welcome To Subterranean Records
As some of you may know, after 17+ years of doing business in New York City we were forced to close our retail shop on February 1st, 2008. Due to insane increases in rents in our area we decided not to re-open but rather sell the remaining stock from our shop here on eBay's pages. There will be some exceptionally rare items from both our shop and my own personal collection.
Item: Really nice near mint original Italian vinyl LP of prog rockers Il Rovescio della Medaglia"Io Come Io". The vinyl and labels are gorgeous with not a single scratch to be found, and the gloss of a brand new LP. The top loader die-cut gatefold cover is VG+ with no ring wear but does have spine wear, the lower right corner has a little creasing and the corners all appear to have light dings. The insert is included attached and near mint. There's no writing or sticker stains. Overall, a real nice item.

Il Rovescio della Medaglia were formed in Rome around the end of 1970 when three musicians from the 60's band I Lombrichi recruited the singer Pino Ballarini, who had moved to Rome from Pescara. Their first great success was at Viareggio Pop festival and they soon became one of the most popular live bands in Italy during the early 70's.
First LP La Bibbia, released in 1971, was basically a very good hard-rock album with slight prog influences, recorded live in studio and accompanied by a distinctive round medallion-shaped booklet The second one, Io come io a year later, was in the same style, with ambitious philosophical lyrics inspired from Hegel works. A short album (less than 30 minutes) but again a really good one!Payment: We accept Paypal, checks and money orders as well as bank transfers.
