Description
10 tracks from several sessions in 1951, 1952. Collectively the groups includes Russell Jacquet, trumpet; Carl Perkins, piano; Oscar Moore, guitar; unidentifed brass section; Hank Jones, piano, organ; Art Blakey, drums; Sir Charles Thompson, piano; Shadow Wilson, drums and more. Rare original L.P. pressing. Cover: VG Scotch tape along the bottom edge; 1" scotch tape on upper edge at the insert edge. Several names printed on the back cover in black and red ink (see scan). Moderate aging on the back cover. Heavy cardboard jacket. Front cover picture of Jacquet is in good condition with just a few light markings from handling. Fine photograph (photographer is not identified). Record: VG Visually shows light to moderate wear with a munber of light surface marksm, some rubs. Played often. There is a continious amount of light groove noise and crackling. The music is audible but interference is prevalent. This is of interest to someone who wants the pressing and is content with surface noise. Audibly checked.
