Description
The idea behind Indeterminacy was, like many Cagean ideas, essentially simple and audaciously original. Cage read 90 stories, his speed determined by the story's length. In another room, beyond earshot of Cage, David Tudor, pianist and veteran Cage collaborator, performed miscellaneous selections from Cage's Concert for Piano and Orchestra and played pre-recorded tape from Cage's Fontana Mix. The resulting collaboration is an astounding piece of "music," and a fine introduction to the innovations of John Cage. "A wonderfully curious way to hear stories." —Stereophile
This record was purchased for a college class in 1971 and played no more than twice.
I am not well versed in grading, but I doubt that this would have many clicks and pops owing to the few times that it was played. Please see photos for condition. The vinyl has but one small mark on side 2, in top left quadrant. This is shown in close up image.I see one or 2 more very light surface marks on the remaining sides, that will not likely produce any pops.
The box is has but one small 1/4" wear mark on the outside bottom of the outer box.The outside paper jacket has one 1.5" tear on the back bottom, and the spine has light brown sun coloring. There are small brown stains on the inside of the outer jacket, with one brown stain showing through to the outside bottom front corner
The inner record sleeves have no tears.
Also included is the original booklet with commentary by John Cage and is in excellent condition with no tears or extra fold creases.
This is being sold as-is because of my lack of experience in dealing in used vinyl.I have attempted to be thorough in describing any minuses in its' condition.
