Back in 1966, I played lead guitar on the Infinitives 45 "Thousand Tears/Heidi." Our organ player has discovered 50 copies, still in the original shipping boxes, stored for years in his basement.
This record has been played only twice to check for defects. It has a gradual 3-4mm warp which does not affect play, and it tracked without problems at 1.5 grams. There are some hazy spots on the vinyl that look like they might be from contact with the sleeve under damp conditions. I could not capture these in the photos. It appears as though these spots could be washed off. The spots had no effect on play and are not audible. There are a few minor pops audible during the run in and first few seconds of "Heidi;" not present on "Thousand Tears." These pops are unrelated to the discoloration spots. The sleeve is in poor condition with yellowing, rips, and wrinkles. (10)
Records will be placed in new polypropylene sleeves and shipped along with the original sleeves in new cardboard mailers with two inserts.
