Description
Ingrid Bergman narrates "The Pied Piper of Hamelin" 1946 Decca DA-450, 2 10" 78 rpm shellac records. Includes original booklet. Original story by Robert Browning, adapted by Edna Best. Musical accompaniment composed and directed by Victor Young. Cover is very good with slight rounding of corners, edge wear and incidental marks on front; the binding is not tight and the record sleeves have separated from the binding. Shellac is excellent with strong labels w/ previous owner's name stamped, little if any spindle wear and clear gloss. Complete set of 2 records.
I have amassed a collection of over 100 commercially packaged sets of 10" and 12" 78 rpm shellac records over the last several decades and will be listing them here over the next year. All records will be evaluated visually only and their condition, along with that of the folder/album and any other included materials, will be described as completely as possible. Some sets may retain musty odors due to the way they were stored previously, and despite our best efforts to properly air them out. When preparing to ship, the records will be removed from the folders and packaged together in one bundle with the album in a separate bundle. They will ship in a larger overbox, usually a 14 x 14 x 6 unless there are multiple wins. Shipping fees will be combined for multiple wins within the same auction; the buyer can either wait for a revised invoice, or the excess shipping will be refunded to the buyer's account. Shipping will be via USPS media mail unless the seller decides an upgrade to priority is indicated.
Shipping for international customers will be via eBay's Global shipping program and the seller has no control over their rates or policies.
