Insanely Rare Tripsichord Music Box LP White Label Promo 1969 original

Welcome to Psych & Pstuff where I have been listing sealed Psych LPs until today. For my last 3 listings this week I chose to pick three insanely rare pieces of psych. All LPs are 1st issues and in NM condition. The three LPs today are Chocolate Watch Band - No Way Out, Kaleidoscope - Beacon From Mars and Tripsichord Music Box White Label Promo. And don't for get to check the other 15 Sealed Psych listing for the week as well. So on with the last listings of the week.

Insanely rare white label promo of this incredible psych LP. What makes this promo so rare is that Janus for some reason issued 3 different promos, of which this was the first. There were 2 more promos issued on the brown Janus label that did not have the "San Francisco Sound" printed on the label. I actually have one of those brown label promos as well. This was definitely one of the best LPs out of Frisco in 1969. The 3rd quicksilver album, Shady Grove was a bit of a disappointment featuring Nicky Hopkins on Piano more than anything else and was nothing like their first two LPs. This is the caliber of music that was expected from Shady Grove. This LP has everything a psych head would want. Double fuzzed out guitars, excellent vocals and the album holds the listener through every song. It is simply an incredible LP and it's sad that the band never released another. The LP is play graded as I listened to it entirely yesterday. LP - The vinyl is super clean and looks like it was never played. Condition is NM

Cover - The cover is clean with only two minor issues. The cover shows a bit of ring wear at the top and bottom and there is some wear on the top left corner, otherwise clean. Condition is EX. No seam splits and the spine is fine. No cut out marks, no writing or other marks at all.

Label - The labels are also in super clean condition, but if you look very carefully in the right light you can see three spindle marks. That's probably how much this LP was played.

So the overall rating for this LP is NM/EX. A must have for any psych collector.  Good luck and thanks. This is a no reserve auction. Please check my other sealed psych LP listed below.

There may be a few ticks or static between songs but still a very nice listen. The cover may also show a bit more wear or have a small seam opening, but still looks nice and clean. Since record grading is so subjectible to the sellers opinion, I wanted to give you my VG+ grading and what goes into calling it VG+. Thank you.

My grading system is M(only used on sealed LPs), NM, EX, VG+, VG, VG- and Good. LPs rated good will only be sold if they are very rare. I have been collecting and grading LPs for nearly 5 decades.
