Though I have been selling on Ebay for years, this is my first foray into selling LP's. Long story somewhat shorter....A gentleman who has been a jazz aficionado for more than 50 years has asked me to sell his vast LP collection for him. He has been paying to keep them in a climate controlled for almost a decade, and is tired of paying to store records he no longer plays.
This will be a very SLOW process. The Owner of these LP's lives quite a distance away from me,(and is not online) and I have to mail him a list of LP's I bring home so he can say whether or not I should sell these. Yes, he wants to keep some, at least for sentimental value, since he has most of the music already on Cds. So, please keep checking back in the coming days/weeks/months as I put these records up! Also, please check out the photos below. I'm going to use larger images than most sellers, which will probably make the records look worse than in person, but at least there should be no surprises for you!
Introducing Lee Morgan with Hank Mobley's Quintet LP Savoy MG-12091 RVG in the dead wax. Maroon label. (tried to get it in a photo, and thought I couldn't but one up close image is actually fairly clear!) LP is very nice, thought it didn’t have any scuffs or scratches, but a 2nd look with a florescent light showed a very light scratch on track one, side one. Might be a very slight paper scuff on side two. Neither should be an issue. LP looks as if it was rarely played. VG+ Still has a nice sheen. Jacket still has a fair bit of plastic covering the jacket. There is some edge wear at the top where there is no plastic, some corner wear as well. Seam is split at the top, in the middle, about 4 inches across. A little staining near the bottom of the jacket, please check out the scans (and double click them to enlarge them) VG+ Paper sleeve “ok”
