Description

Up for auction here is a rare near mint piece of blues history from the collection of folklorist/bluesologist Michael Taft (his light stamp is at top of back cover).  This album was played once by him, to be taped for transcription purposes and then once by me to have my mind blown.  Jacket is beautiful and bright, with very light corner wear, very good ++.  Original PRestige Bluesville mono 1034 from 1961.  Deep groove blue and silver labels.  Liner notes by Samuel Charters.  Produced by Charters and Kenneth Goldstein.

      "RVG" is etched into the deadwax on both sides.  It would be hard to find a better copy of this gem.
