introducing... The BEATLES Vee Jay 1062 Mono
Impossibly rare transition pressing
with "Bracket" logo label on side 1
and "Oval" logo label on side 2!
Cover: Excellent (VG++),
very clean back and front, minor wear,
SHINY glossy front laminate.
There's a tiny ding/dent next to
Ringo's right temple. The upper left corner
(on the front) has a tiny, hard to see
pair of staple holes, and there's a half-inch
"beginning" of a short split in the middle
of the spine, see the photo.
Visually and play-graded record:
VG: mostly light surface scuffs on both sides.
Side one has one barely felt short surface
mark between Anna and Misery, and a
deeper mark on side two that's only audible for a fef pops as Please Please Me fades out, and a couple of final pops between/during the dead-wax transition, and it stops before
Baby It's You begins.
Both sides play with light, even surface crackle.
The beginning of each side has slightly louder crackle.
The rest of both sides is pretty consistent. The highs are still crisp,
and there's no distortion and no skipping.
Anna has slightly less surface noise,
which is nice considering it's one of the
quiet tunes on this classic LP. Comes with original VJ inner sleeve, which
is in VG condition with 3-inch seam-splits
in the middle of each edge.
Both sides of this sleeve are free of writing and free of any stains. The top opening edge
has some fraying, but no long rips.
