INTRODUCING THE BEATLES Vee-Jay 1062 Version 2
Left Justified tracks on label Center Justified credits on label
Long Playing - in two words, not "longplaying"
Cover: George Harrison has a shadow in photograph on front. Back of album the track "HONEY" is not missing ink in the top left corners of letters "H" and "E".
Album: Album title and Beatle name are above the center hole. Rainbow color band has green and does not have jagged lines.
Trail off area on vinyl is 7/8" Wide. Disk in very good condition.
Sleeve: Very good condition, gently yellowed with age.
Vee-Jay prepared new covers for the revamped version two album, which is sometimes referred to as the "Please Please Me" version. Front cover is same as the version one cover without "Printed in the U.S.A." Back cover is identical to the titles on back variation of version one, except for the substitution of the titles of the two songs that replaced "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You."
After the decision was made to reissue the album with the two different songs, Vee-Jay still had a supply of mono version one covers left over. Rather that destroy these covers, Vee-Jay had version two "Please Please Me" back cover slicks pasted over version one back cover. This example has the rare slick that features the replacement song "Please Please Me" WITHOUT the comma following the first "Please". These first back covers without the comma are very few and hard to find, making this a Version Two treasure.
Condition of this rare cover is solid and clean, with some wear. Faint pricing in upper back left corner. Front is minimal wear, seams have wear, the spine has center print visible with left and right edges not visible and worn. See pictures very closely . Back cover columns and song titles print all dark, bold, and present.
