Now that the holidays are passed, I will get back to offering vintage vinyl. As always, I will try to be as accurate as I can be. My grading chart is below. You can be assured that I do not sell crap. I would not want a buyer to think of my name while experiencing surface noise and unaddressed issues. By my standards, a NM record is like new. An EX record is collector quality. A VG+ record is a sweet item with normal but careful wear. A VG record means 'very good', not crappy. Feel free to research my feedback. Bid with confidence.

PLEASE READ Details completely. This is the rarest Mono disk of VJLP-1062 'Version 1' with Love Me Do and PS, I Love You. Brackets logo is found on most 'Version 2' with Ask Me Why and Please Please Me. Authentic 'Version 1' disks with 'brackets' logo are 5X more rare than 'Version 2' with oval logo.

Here is an item for serious Beatles collectors who want to have everything. Feel free to use your preferred source to verify this issue. It will NOT appear in Goldmine. But most other sources will verify it's existence and show it to be the most valuable Mono issue and only in found on mono disks. I will suggest this site for verification http://www.eskimo.com/~bpentium/beatles/intro/intro.html but feel free to use any valid source. Most 'version 1' issues of Introducing The Beatles have the oval Vee Jay label. Only the Allentown plant released these for they were first to use the brackets logo, ones that appear on Version II and stereo counterfeits. If you check the site I suggested, this is a VJ 1062 (1) .MR3 but any valid source will show it to be the most scarce. It is a 'brackets' logo mono disk with Love Me Do and PS I Love You. Other details are below.

Beatles above spindle hole - deadwax is 13/16" and 7/8" - Tracks play as listed - Deadwax matrix = (side 1) A11 1-11-64 - (side 2) 63-3402 AB - Both side have 'AudioMatrix'

The disk is sprinkled with various light marks and lines but plays with almost no surface noise at all. These thick Vee Jay disks are famous for that. There are NO interuptions in play and only the slightest soft ticks can be heard between tracks. It is visually a nice VG but plays from VG+ to EX. The sound quality is exquisite.

The cover has light surface rubbing on the front but quite nice and the four Beatles are spared from wear. The back is age foxed, thats about it. The top seam is in great shape. The spine has some minor flaking but is still solid and legible. The bottom seam has wear at both corners and is split for only about an inch at the mouth.

When I aquired this item from an estate, it had no inner sleeve. I will provide a VJ inner sleeve.

My Record Grading

NM - Has no marks or surface noise, full gloss and clean labels. Covers will have no addressable wear, crisp seams and corners.
EX - Very close to NM but might have only LIGHT surface marks only visable under bright light. Covers show only the slightest shelfwear
VG+ - Disk might have superficial marks that do NOT affect play, has NO audible scratches. Might have rare occasional dust ticks audible between tracks. It is a well kept record that shows normal but careful use. Cover shows it's age but has no serious ringwear or splits.
VG - Means VERY GOOD. The record is in realistic condition, but has NO deep scratches, skips or annoying surface noise. Might have light surface sound between tracks and quiet areas. But plays very good for an old record. Covers might have ringwear, minor splits and even writing, but is still presentable or even restorable.
G - Is an old used record that still plays good without skips. This is the condition of most 50s and 60s records and are usually not found for sale unless they are very rare. The cover still holds the record.

I ship records in a professional way. The disk will be sent out of the cover, packing assures safety to the cover. Shipping rates are only .60 over actual rate to cover box and new poly sleeve. Media Mail includes delivery confirmation. West Coast buyers will have Priority Mail rate adjusted with invoice @ .75 less. Canada buyers use lower rate of 6.50. I do combine shipping. Up to 3 LPs for same Media Mail rate. Add .50 after 3. Add 1.00 each added via Priority. Europe add 3.00 up to 3 albums. After that, it goes to more expensive Air Mail Parcel Post.
