Description
The Beatles "Introducing The Beatles" 1964 (released January 10th or shortly thereafter), quite rare Blank Back cover, Spizer-cataloged as VJ 1062(1).MC2B (does not have "Printed in U.S.A." vertically along the bottom left of the front cover), correctly paired with record VJ 1062(1).MR1A; and is complete with the early 'white' ad-back inner sleeve; the record is the proper version 1 having "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You" (which were the two songs Vee Jay could not later use due to a lawsuit with Capitol, so consequently replaced them with "Ask Me Why" and "Please Please Me" (version 2); this entire copy is in remarkable condition; the cover is VG++ (see all photos) with no seam splits, no writing marks, and very little edge-flaking, it does show a bit of front-photo "rub-wear" but nothing super-major (please see all photos); the back of the cover is "nice-and-white" - quite attractive; the VG++ record is probably the nicest Version One I've had in over 20 years (however, because of the rarity of version 1's I've not had 'that' many), it's not NM, but darn clean on both sides (and playgrades quite nicely); Side 1 has a small superficial 'smudge' at 3:00 but that's about it, you can see in the photos that the "deep-groove" labels are remarkably 'without' perceptible spindle wear (uber-rare!); the Side 1 deadwax has 'Audio Matrix' stamped, and 3402, 63-3402, 6-29-63, and "RA A" etched (extremely hard to see the "RA"); the Side 2 deadwax also has "Audio Matrix' stamped, as well as 63-3403, 6-29-63,and RA A etched; the extremely rare 'white background' VJ inner sleeve is included, and is in VG to VG+ condition (bottom center seam splitting); if you want a correct and genuine copy of a mono Blank Back this is it.
