Introducing the Beatles Original Mono in Original Baggy with STEREOPHONIC Sticker. See all 9 photos.
Please read carefully. Up for auction is Version 2 that came out in February 1964 with the songs Please, Please Me and Ask Me Why. Version 1 came out in January 1964 with the songs Love Me Do and P.S. I Love You. If you are not familiar with the original Vee Jay records, some stereo records were inserted in mono record jackets with a sticker declaring it stereophonic.

The baggy is torn in the upper right corner, lower right corner, and there is a small tear in the lower left corner exposing the bottom left corner of the cover. The bottom left corner of the cover looks rough, and you also can see a split along the lower edge on the right side bottom. The spine looks great with the two "Vee Jay"s and "Introducing the Beatles" crisp.
The original white sleeve advertising other Vee Jay records is included. Its condition is used, as you can see in the photo.
There are multiple Vee Jay Stereo Labels. This label is SR2C with VJ in brackets and STEREO printed twice, once on each side of the brackets. This is the label variation that includes LONG PLAYING and MICROGROOVE.
I listened to the record on a Crosley Stereo with a new needle prior to creating this listing. The record is amazingly smooth in sound, with no crackles and no skips. Generally I don't listen to some of the harder to find records as I collect them for the covers and labels and like to make sure the record is kept in the best condition possible. This record is kept separately in a non-scratching and anti-static sleeve protector. The VJ inner sleeve is kept separately as well.
