Description

Impossibly RARE 1964 STEREO issue of “Introducing the Beatles” LP.  This has the version 2 'column back' cover.  Orange STEREO sticker affixed to front cover.  Original STEREO outer baggie with ‘Extra Special Value” sticker affixed.  Record label is the black rainbow with bracket logo variant.  This is absolutely an original issue from 1964!  Green color shade in rainbow appears perfectly.  Deadwax has all appropriate etchings and stampings.


The outer “STEREO” baggie is in strong VG+ condition.  Amazingly, all of its seams are intact!  Yay!  The “EXTRA SPECIAL VALUE” sticker affixed is in EX condition.


The cover is in EX- condition.  Corners are great.  Seams are all intact!  Yay!  Spine is perfect and the title is fully readable.  The orange “STEREO” sticker affixed to the cover is in EX- condition.


The labels have some light spindle wear.  Absolutely no writing, which is awesome!  In EX- condition.


The vinyl has been played...a lot.  Lots of light surface marks, most from being taken in-and-out of the inner sleeve numerous times.  There are two palpable (feel-able) marks: 1) side 1 from songs 2-3; 2) side 2 on song 1. If you wish to be very conservative, consider the vinyl strong G+, although some may call it VG-.

I listened to the entire record today (7th October) on my Technics turntable. Side 1: Some light hiss during the dead space preceding "I Saw Her Standing There".  A few pops during the song.  Some light ticking during "Misery". "Anna" sounds great.  Two very light ticks during "Chains". "Boys" sounds great.  One very light pop during "Ask Me Why".  Side 2: A few light pops and one moderate tick during "Please, Please Me".  "Baby It's You" sounds great.  One moderate tick in the dead space immediately after "Baby It's You". "Do You Want To Know A Secret" sounds great. Some very light ticking during short passages of "A Taste of Honey".  There is one very light pop during "There's A Place".  "Twist and Shout" sounds great!
